Am I the only person who as soon as I’m done eating want more?

Does that sound dorky?  Well it sure does to me and I just don’t understand why that is.  So just this week I’ve been doing some testing to see if I could figure out if there are certain foods that trigger these behaviors.

Chunky Monkey Ice CreamLet’s see I started off this week week with the “chunky monkey” feeling.  You know that feeling when you know that you’ve gained a few pounds and you most certainly do not need to jump on the scale to see if it went up right?  Instead what I do is go into action, I cut out eating a lot of solid food and stick with mostly liquids.

No I’m not talking about fasting, even though I believe fasting is a good way to cleanse toxins from your body.  I’m talking about liquid protein beverage drinks.

When I feel chunky monkey I will go on my liquid protein drinks; shakes and fruit flavored high protein drink mix.  I usually do this for 2-3 days and can drop my “chunky” and feel pretty fast.  The first day is typically the hardest to endure but by day 3 I’m in the groove and the food cravings and sugar cravings are subsided.

Chunky MonkeySo this week since I had groceries in my house, a rarity, I thought I would try to get rid of the ‘chunky monkey’ feeling by eating low calorie  foods like; apples, mango, raisins, lettuce and various means of protein; chicken, buffalo, tuna.

Well I’m here to tell you that all week I wanted more, more to eat that is.  I never really felt satisfied and even though my belly was full my brain kept saying; I want more.  Right after I was done eating I craved something sweet.   So this entire week I tried different variations of eating food and also my liquid protein together.  Not a good week, I believed I gained this week.

So now what?  Well that’s easy…. I will stay with the liquid protein when I have those chunky monkey feelings.

Oh and by the way, it’s wasn’t Ben & Jerry’s that made me feel chunky monkey.
