I’m going to start a series about the importance of having a Positive Mental Attitude. I hope you enjoy these posts as much as I enjoyed writing them.
As the old saying goes, you are your own worst critic. This is certainly true for a lot of people. How many times have you put yourself down for doing something that you think is wrong or even stupid?
While you may think that this is something that you need to do to in order to improve yourself, the reality is that self bashing sets yourself up for failure. Today is the day you are going to choose to think positive thoughts no matter what you’ve been telling yourself for days, weeks even years you worthy of only positive thoughts.

Today was one of those days that I had a compelling NEED to clean. You know, it’s not something you want to do, it comes out of necessity. Let me put it this way, all my furniture had the look of the first frost, yes the dust was so high the furniture looked white instead of dark brown.

Let’s see I started off this week week with the “chunky monkey” feeling. You know that feeling when you know that you’ve gained a few pounds and you most certainly do not need to jump on the scale to see if it went up right? Instead what I do is go into action, I cut out eating a lot of solid food and stick with mostly liquids.
No I’m not talking about fasting, even though I believe fasting is a good way to cleanse toxins from your body. I’m talking about liquid protein beverage drinks.
When I feel chunky monkey I will go on my liquid protein drinks; shakes and fruit flavored high protein drink mix. I usually do this for 2-3 days and can drop my “chunky” and feel pretty fast. The first day is typically the hardest to endure but by day 3 I’m in the groove and the food cravings and sugar cravings are subsided.
